Does my daughter need a uniform?
The League provides a visor and a team shirt. You need a glove. No other uniform is required, though many players use cleats in grades 4 and up. Helmets, bats and balls are provided by the League for use during practice and games.
Players may use their own ASA approved helmet if desired. Keep in mind that approved chin straps and cages are also required. Helmets should be marked for ID purposes. The umpires may inspect helmets prior to games.
Bats are supplied by the league, however many players purchase their own. Bats must have a "softball" label and be approved by the ASA. Look for a bat with an ASA certification label. Check with your coach for proper sizing. The umpires inspect bats prior to most games.
Balls are 11 inch for k-5 grade, 12 inch for 6-8 grade
Look for balls approved for ASA play.
